Dryad is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit membership-based organization incorporated in North Carolina, USA. A twelve member Board of Directors is elected by its Members. See also Dryad's Business and Sustainability Plan


Dryad's Bylaws were adopted by the Board of Directors on July 23, 2012, were amended in May 2013 and most recently in May 2016 by the membership.

Membership Meetings

Annual Membership and Community Meeting are held each in May of each year; the location varies.

Board of Directors

The current board is constituted of the most recent three classes. Each class of four members serves a term of three years. See the website for biographical information on current board members. See also the Board Manual for information on the functioning of the Board.

Interim Governance (2009-2012)

Prior to incorporation, from 2009 to early 2012, the organization was known as the Dryad Consortium and operated under an Interim Governance Agreement.
