Current funding for Dryad is provided by grants from the National Science Foundation (see NSF proposal here), and the Institute for Museum and Library Services for a project called HIVE (Helping Interdisciplinary Vocabulary Engineering) that will enhance the discoverability of data in the repository.

A one-year grant to expand the range of journals involved and to develop a mirror of Dryad in the UK was funded by JISC (see proposal here) and will commence in 2010. Partners in the JISC grant include the British Library, Oxford University, the Digital Curation Centre (DCC), and Charles Beagrie, Ltd.

The Dryad Consortium Board is developing long-term financial plans for the repository; a summary of the sustainability discussion at the December 2009 meeting of the Board can be found in the meeting report here.
