Integration Checklist

Steps that Dryad must complete for a journal to be integrated:

  1. Add the journal to this page, so it can be tracked
  2. Ask journal to fill out the Pre-Integration Questionnaire
  3. Set up basic Dryad configuration for the journal
  4. Implement any specialized processing needed by the journal
  5. Test metadata transfer
  6. Move the initial configuration (and specialized processing) to production
  7. Notify journal that they can begin sending requests to authors
  8. Confirm recipients for curator's messages (depositors' DOI email, weekly summary)
  9. Request journal to
    1. begin sending us notifications of published article metadata
    2. tell us their DOI placement decision
    3. tell us how we can get a cover image or logo to use on the website
    4. announce the new data archiving process to its authors
    5. update the journal's instructions to authors to incorporate data archiving and Dryad (see Journal instructions)
    6. inform us of any forthcoming changes to their manuscript system that will affect integration
  10. Add journal contacts to the Dryad Users and/or Partners mailing lists
